Encinitas Coastal Bluff Landslide Highlights Erosion Issue

The goal of the Seacoast Preservation Association is to protect and preserve critical coastal property, which faces serious issues related to overuse and storm-caused erosion. This was underscored recently by a local beach cliff collapse. As reported in the Los Angeles Times , the incident occurred just to the north of the wooden stairs that traverse the bluff from Neptune Avenue to Grandview Beach. The collapse involved a bluff section adjacent to the Grandview surf spot.
